Job Summary:
Responsibilities include monitoring and controlling day-to-day facility operations and making operational changes within guidelines to optimize recoveries, and promoting safe work practices and procedures. The Operator ensures the Facility is operated and maintained in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements, as well as ensure equipment is set up to maximize return on investment capital.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Daily documentation, and housekeeping of all equipment at the plant. This would include electric and gas driven compressors, flares, pumps, pipelines, valves, and vessels
Monitor and adjust equipment and controls to maintain optimum efficiency and reliability.
Responsible for performing minor maintenance on plant equipment.
Responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and correcting, abnormal operating conditions
Responsible for coordinating and monitoring activities of contract personnel assigned to the area
Identify emergency situations and initiate Emergency Response Procedures
Promote a safe work environment, implement current safety policies and ensure environmental policies are being followed.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Able to verify and understand P&ID’s
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Experience with SCADA, Wonder Ware/Delta V, along with basic computer skills with in MS Office.
Strong commitment to personal and job safety including complying with state and federal regulations
Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of mechanical equipment as well as good verbal/written communication skills, decision making skills and a strong work ethic
Willing to work callouts, holidays, and weekends.
Ability to work effectively as a team with all levels of management.
Must be able to work shift work.
Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) Operator
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include monitoring measurement equipment such as pumps, motor operated valves, pressure switches, electric motors, transmitters, vibration switches, electronic controls and pressure regulators. Performs mechanical functions and duties of inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment in order to maintain high levels of safe and reliable equipment performance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Preserves facility appearance and safety through performing remedial and preventative maintenance, as well as good housekeeping practices.
Performs preventative and general maintenance on electronic and mechanical equipment and associated parts.
Assist with replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment as needed.
Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities and perform product quality control tests.
Participate in and successfully complete company, state, and federal training programs, process safety management reviews and safety meetings.
Satisfy initial and requalifying requirements of company’s operator qualification standards including DOT Testing.
Respond to operational emergencies in accordance with procedures of company emergency response team.
Interface professionally and competently with private, public, and government land owners.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong commitment to on the job safety.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, as well as, perform basic mathematical calculations.
Exhibit ability and desire to work independently and as part of a team as required.
Utilize basic computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing applications, and possess the technical capacity to learn other software programs as needed.
Motivated to start tasks and projects and committed to follow them until completion.
Organized; able to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks and projects effectively.
Work will include supporting the construction safety aspect of a gas/crude oil gathering and processing facility by auditing work site(s) for compliance with 29 CFR 1926 (OSHA Construction Standards), Inspecting the work site(s) for recognized industry hazards, Observing personnel behaviors for potential risk-taking behaviors, Visiting with contractors and individuals who appear to need assistance, Reporting and investigating any work-related incidents, Participating in group / tailgate safety meetings; and, reporting findings and corrective actions to the Project Manager and Contractor Supervision.
Work performed may also include supporting operating aspects of a gas/crude oil gathering and processing system by Providing training to client employees in required elements of 29 CFR 1910 (OSHA General Industry Standards) on an as needed basis. Subject matter may include as an example: Hydrogen sulfide, emergency response, lockout tag out. Auditing operating facilities including Terminal, a similar crude oil terminal, along with field LACT units, Provide reasonable safety support to client operations employees.
Ideal Candidate Would Have Experience in the Following:
- PLC programming (Allen Bradley, RSLogix 500, 5000)
- Experience with Allen Bradley Servo Control and VFD Drives
- HMI programming (PanelView, PanelView Plus and RSView)
- At least two-years’ experience in an Oil & Gas environment
- Work closely with the Engineering personnel to complete design work to specifications.
- Experience managing projects required.
- Experience in O&G field automation, instrumentation, process controls and commissioning.
